Lotus Cars Cycle Race League

Code of Conduct 2009

Behaviour in 2006, 2007 and 2008 was impeccable and a major factor in obtaining permission for 2009. We therefore ask you to abide by a few simple rules. Our aim is to introduce as many riders as possible to the joys of 'road racing' whilst at the same time providing much needed events and competition to the more established road rider.

Registration is necessary as Lotus Security require a list of all riders, officials, and supporters, who are likely to attend each race night, 24 hours in advance. You will be checked in at the Lotus main gate by a League offical and you may be asked for proof of your identity. Another reason for not forgetting your British Cycling membership card/racing licence.

Race numbers will be handed out each week as you sign on

Access to the site is from 6.30 to 7.30pm only. If you arrive before this time please park or wait in Potash Lane beyond the main entrance. Do not block the entrance for other users.

You will directed to parking in a designated area of hard standing beside the Test Track. Do not park on the grass.

There are no changing facilities, only toilets, situated in the Lotus Staff Clubhouse. Please be coy about changing, keep your car between you and the factory.

Signing on is in the Lotus Staff Clubhouse - no cleats please as they can damage the floor.

Exit from the site, except in an emergency, is only permitted after the race has finished. Last person must leave before 9.15 pm.

Rules

A competitor or spectator caught breaking these simple rules will be banned from the Track for the remainder of the series with no exceptions, together with any other persons associated with the wrongdoer

  • Using cameras of any description including those on mobile phones.
  • Answering the Call of Nature without using the toilets.
